Cám ơn 2 bạn Kankuli va Amopothe đã upload những CD phải nói là "hàng cực độc" này!! Phải là dân sưu tầm nhạc cổ điển mới hiểu đuợc mức qúy giá của các dĩa này! Ví dụ những đĩa piano recital của S. Richter va G. Gould hầu như rất khó tìm và các nhà xuất bản ko còn tung ra thị truờng nữa! Tôi đã rất khổ công lần mò bao thư viện âm nhạc để tìm những CD này! Đề nghị các bạn upload tiếp tục, có những nguời như tôi rất cần các CD này! Thuờng thì tôi nghe lúc đang làm việc, gắn máy nghe vào tai và thuởng thức từng CD một! Nghe nhạc cổ điển ko thể "vội vàng" đuợc, có nhiều bản tôi nghe lại 2-3 lần để tìm ra cái hay, cái dở của nguời biểu diễn nên ko thể download ào ào về hoặc nghe như giặc đuổi đuợc hihihi! Bản symphony số 9 in D minor của Bruckner do Gunther Wand điều khiển dàn Berliner Philharmonkier hay quá!! Phần mở đầu thật hùng hậu và chuẩn! Có lẽ Karajan cũng ko hơn thế này đuợc! Nhất là phần Adagio đầy cảm xúc! Mỗi lần nghe đến khúc cuối đều thấy ngậm ngùi luyến tiếc! Nếu Bruckner sống thêm đuợc vài năm ko biết chuơng 4 sẽ thế nào!?? Gửi lúc 01:46, 02/06/05

S. Richter chơi Scriabin hay lắm! Nhưng mình ko thể ngờ ông chơi những bản sonatas của Mozart hay như vậy! Cách loáy ngón tay thật tuyệt vời, thêm vào sức ấn nốt chính xác thật khiến nguời nghe cảm khoái! Tôi thuờng nghĩ nhạc Mozart ko thể chơi chậm, thế mà với phong cách bình tĩnh đến tột độ của Richter đã khiến nhạc Mozart có thể nghe một cách trầm lắng không khác Schubert hay Beethoven (những sonata cuối đời)! Sviatoslav Richter plays Schumann and Chopin
The vivid, fantastical and extreme world of Robert Schumann is particularly attractive to Richter, and in the present selection some of that master''s most celebrated compositions are given typically sensational interpretations that illuminate and make us re-think and consider music that, though quintessentially romantic, is undoubtedly spiritual and often futuristic with violent contrasts between sections and paragraphs that can still shock listeners today. Though it is impossible to give an exact date for each of the 24 Preludes by Fryderyk Chopin, it is clear that he completed the cycle on Mallorca by January 1839. They are mysterious miniatures of perfect proportion and form that had no specific programmatic content or hidden "message".
It is therefore amusing to read descriptions from the novelist George Sand of the D flat major Prelude which attempt to relate the music to "water falling heavily on his (Chopin''s) chest".
Alfred Cortot was also colourful in his Chopin edition over the emotional message behind each piece, though his vivid prose is no less valuable for that, (e.g. Prelude in F sharp minor: "Snow falls, the wind howls, the tempest rages; but in my sad heart the storm is even more terrible"). As the cycle travels through every key in major and minor pairs, it is traditional to perform all twenty-four in one sitting. Nevertheless, selections from the work make for enjoyable listening and Richter here follows Rachmaninov''s example of picking favourites from the twenty-four for a somewhat shorter offering. Although Ludwig van Beethoven''s significance as a composer of symphonies, string quartets and concertos is quite immeasurable, his piano music represents a unique distillation of the composer''s combined executant and creative skills. The piano was Beethoven''s natural expressive outlet, and the instrument which brought him most directly into contact with the music of his predecessors and contemporaries. He was by all accounts a formidable virtuoso, compensating for a less than transcendental technique with outbursts of temperament and passion which would leave audiences stunned, and pianos often in need of serious repair. To hear any of the piano works is to experience a vital part of a spiritual journey which occupied Beethoven throughout his creative life.
Ignoring those movements contained in the piano sonatas which are based on variation form, Beethoven composed some twenty sets of independent variations for solo piano extending from the early Nine Variations on a March by Dresser, Wo063 (1782/3) to the late-period mastery of the Diabelli Variations, Op. 120 (completed in 1823). Interestingly enough, only four sets were ever accorded the status of a full opus number, the aforementioned Diabellis and the three sets selected by Sviatoslav Richter for this recording.
In the period immediately following Beethoven''s death, an age dominated by the influence of dreams and imaginary worlds, noone dreamt with the intensity and tangible insight of Robert Schumann (1810-1856). A letter written to Clara Wieck (his future wife) in 1838 is particularly revealing: "I am affected by everything that goes on in the world and think it all over in my own way, politics, literature and people, and then I long to express my feelings and find an outlet for them in music. That is why my compositions are sometimes difficult to understand, because they are connected with different interests; and sometimes striking, because everything extraordinary that happens impresses me, and impels me to express it in music."
Yet whilst the Romantics may have often been at pains to expand upon the harmonic and expressive language of their immediate predecessors, structurally they remained for the most part firmly embedded in the formal outlines and principles expounded by the Classicists. So it was with Schumann when he came to compose his so-called Etudes symphoniques (Symphonic Studies) between 1834 and 1837 (an unusually long period of gestation for this particular composer), which turn out to be none other than a set of highly inventive, indeed masterly set of variations on a theme in C sharp minor.
